Ice beam is 4x effective right I don't have anything to worry about so I used ice beam it did maybe 10% and then it one shot me with giga drain which I thought I would live since it had only like 60 base power this gen.

That's where I fucked up however, he full restored and then I thought wait a minute grass rock type. After that I switched in Flylo and with two blaze kicks it got down to red and I figured I would switch out to Bladee who had a favorable matchup on his remaining team Armaldo and Claydol. He sent out his other problematic mon Cradily next and looking at its moves I decided switching into Carmen and using toxic would be my best bet in wearing this thing down. I knew there was only one man left for the job so I sent out Rocky who absorbed a psychic then tanked and meteor mash and fired back with a counter killing it. He sent in his metagross next which made me shit myself a little but I stayed in and got off an eq which did over half but someone it did just barely enough to activate the berry which meant I couldn't 2hko it unless I got a crit or highest possible damage roll and the meteor mash he used did like 75%. I predicted the eq and sent in Noname whose own eq took it out in one turn. He led with Skarmory obviously who was no threat thanks the a quick thunderbolt from Carmen and then he sent out his Aggron.
My biggest challenge was next though Steven's team was no joke which is why I grinded so much and so. It seems Bladee wanted to take the MVP spot from rocky and was proving himself by taking out half the E4 solo. I sent him in and he tanked another surf and since it had 3 special moves I went for the mirror coat and she used blizzard which did a bit over 100hp and the mirror coat ended up one shotting it Rocky again saves my ass.ĭrake was my biggest worry because I had Bladee's ice beam and that was it but Bladee managed to OHKO every single dragon and the battle was over before i knew. Once it came out I switched into Carmen but surf did over half meaning I had to pull out my trump card. Glacia was were things starting getting dicey, Flylo was able to OHKO all her pokemon except Walrein who I was very worried about as all of it moves fucked my team. The same thing goes for Phoebe who my Bladee was able to crunch through without much trouble.
The first fight against Sydney was no challenge as it always is if you have a fighting type and it was done it a flash. I used as many tms as I could and then we took on the final challenge. I've spent the past few days grinding on and off in victory road until all my mons were lv51 and except for Rocky who I left at 50 and then I used all the rare candies I had collected during the game to get them up to 53. Most romhacks will be as hard or (likely) harder than that, some are borderline impossible. There's a ranking list of mainline games below.
